Surgical Vision Correction Options
L-A-S-I-K!! Is it for you??
LASIK (Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis) is a surgical procedure that uses a laser beam to reshape the cornea. Patients who are nearsighted, farsighted or astigmatic may benefit from this type of procedure.
While millions of patients have seen successful results from LASIK, the procedure is not right for everyone. Your optometrist will need to thoroughly examine your eyes to determine which type of vision correction best fits your needs.
Cataracts are something that will likely happen to all of us … this is a condition in which the lens of your eye starts to get hazy and cause blurred vision, the need for more light, increased glare, and just overall diminished vision. Luckily, surgery can often improve this problem – and we have a surgeon that travels to Burns roughly every 6 weeks. There are also wonderful specialists in Bend and Redmond that we often work with as well. If Dr. Keady finds that you have cataracts you can be sure that you will have help in getting your questions answered.
Family Eyecare of Harney County has the experience and equipment necessary to provide treatment, consultation and referrals for the vision correction procedures and surgeries detailed above.
Schedule an appointment with Dr. Jennifer Keady, and we will be in touch with you shortly.
